Following in my father’s footsteps, I went straight into the financial planning world right after college in 1977. I immediately obtained my CLU and then became a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) shortly thereafter. It was the ChFC program that gave me a deep love for financial planning. I was focusing on employee benefits along with 401(k)’s and IRA’s. I soon realized that in order to really move forward in financial planning it was important to be a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) along with a Masters of Science in Financial Services (MSFS).
I love to focus on my clients needs and dreams with a deep desire to help them accomplish their goals. It gives me great satisfaction to serve my clients. Serving as a past president of the Corpus Christi Estate Planning Council has also given me a great new focus on helping my clients with their personal legacy and charitable giving.
My wife Paula and I were married in 1977 and we have 2 children. We love to ski and go cycling as much as we can. Our most memorable cycling event was when we went to the French Pyrenees and cycled on some of the famous large mountains that are traveled and covered in the Tour de France. We also rode on routes and observed several sections of the actual Tour that year (this was really a dream come true).
